For over a decade, the Quest Oil Group has offered value-driven oil and gas, as well as engineering services covering design & development, procurement, steel and fabrication and integration of high-speed, automatic packaging equipment to clients.
Growing organically over the years, we seized opportunities to deepen market share and expand further. Recognizing the need to provide quality products and services extending beyond the manufacturing or engineering industries, we acquired ASCON Oil Company Limited in July 2019 and changed the name to Quest Retail.
ASCON OIL was founded in 1985. The company started operations initially in Kano and obtained its NNPC/PPMC bulk purchase agreement in 1988 as an Independent Petroleum Products Marketer. In 1991, it moved its Headquarter to Lagos and in 1999, the company completed the construction of a bulk storage terminal at Ibru Port complex. Designed and constructed in its entirety by Nigerian Engineers, the terminal has a capacity of 35,000 MT with a loading capacity of 3 Million litres per day. Basically, the Depot operations cover the marketing of refined petroleum products through petrol filling stations, and bulk supplies to commercial and industrial consumers.
The company over the years grew its retail foot print to over 39 stations in Nigeria and in 2010, expanded its business frontiers to include a new range of lubricants for the market.
The company also commenced operations in the aviation space in September 2014, with a commitment to safer air journeys.
Through our transformation from ASCON Oil to Quest Retail, we have incorporated into our portfolio, the liquefied petroleum gas business, with the installation of Skids in strategic locations attesting to our commitment to a much cleaner, sustainable planet.
